Well, I went to the nose and throat Dr. today. Basically he said that he has not seen a case like mine for about a year. Pretty bad obstruction. Makes sense why I have had such a difficult go with the breathing at night and in general. Good news is that according to his process he has over an 80% chance of fixing my problems with apnea and helping me get back up to normal breathing. I was a bit surprised as I thought this would only bring me to the point where I could use CPAP but the Dr. seems to think he can do more. That is the good news. The bad news is it will take 3 weeks of recovery total with two surgeries. The first will be on my throat and should have me down at least a week. The sinus surgery we can do at the end of summer. Down a week or two. The way I see it, its no worse that what I have had to put up with on a regular basis. I can't wait. First surgery is on the 19th of June.
I had a guitar book with me at the Dr. and he asked me about it. It turns out that he plays drums at River Hills Christian Church in Loveland. It sounded pretty cool. He took me back to an office to listen to some recording they are doing. It sounds along the lines of what I am looking to get into. I have been going to Julia's church for a while and I love the people but I can't play there because the music isn't conducive to guitar. We have talked about it and I have been looking for a place to play a couple times a month so this may be it, we will see.
