Misc stuff

Weighed in at 233 today. Next week I will have broken my BFL weight
from 2001. On track to break into the 220s earlier than expected too.
Sweet. I have been told to expect a slow down by my Dr. as I get close
to 210.

I had my wrists and hands checked because of some pain I have been
experiencing. Although intermittent it was still a concern for my
playing. Everything looks good except I may have a compressed medial
nerve in my fretting forearm. Taking more tests in a couple weeks. I
am not worried of this. I am heading it off before it gets worse.
Just need to make sure I am stretching and warming up when I play and
not go too hard when I practice.

On the practice note, my lessons with Tom Hess http://www.tomhess.net
have been MUCH MUCH MUCH more than I ever imagined. He has been
instrumental (no pun intended) in not only helping my playing improve
but also my teaching approach and mental attitude in general.....in
guitar and life. More than that his private student forums are filled
with some great players who are very serious about their playing too.
And they all are pretty supportive. The forum would have no less
really. Anyway very cool.

Happy Birthday to Julia.....yesterday. We celebrated Saturday with
Julia's friends and Ed Erb and his wife came down as well......and then
again last night with just her son and I. On a side note it looks like
Ed and Marty are another good couple for us to hang out with. Marty
and Julia enjoy each other as much as Ed and I (lifelong friends) so
everyone is right at home.

I miss Battlefield 2 on XBOX lately....just too busy.

This Sunday at Journey we are covering John Mayer's "Gravity". I am
looking forward to that....it will give me a chance to play some stuff
pretty close to home as far as guitar style goes. Loving that.

Go COLTS!!!!!

Randy
