Almost April.....Sheesh!
Is this year flying by or what?!!
It seems like this year its hard for me to do much wrong so far. LOTS of things happening, moving in the right directions.
Seeds planted are bringing forth fruit. The more consistent I plant good seed the heavier the good comes.
Anyway gotta go. Been way busy. Working on an internet based product. I have done this in the past to no avail. The difference this time is I am partnering with someone who has already made TONS of money with other internet programs so I get a chance to learn from them in that regard which is cool. I have made great progress getting it done.
Oh and the clinic tour I mentioned last year is looking like it will happen. We are working with Guitar Center now to secure dates in Chicago, Indy, Cincinnati, Grand Rapids, Pittsburgh and Binghampton (near there..not sure the exact city name I forgot). There will be 8 guitarists. Many styles represented.
I have also nailed down the studio where I will be filming my DVD in late June/July. Its a sweet place. I may have a professional videographer do it, still looking into the rates on that.
Teaching is going ok. I am pretty tired. So as students drop I don't backfill again. I finally finished paying my credit counseling debt off. What a relief....so I don't need the teaching money as bad. I am keeping the doors open for now though.
At the same studio I am doing the DVD I have started discussion of doing group lessons for recording. I have learned a ton over the last year and a half in the area, enough to know more than the average people coming into. I am studying a ton on mixing/engineering as well. So my stuff will sound better. You can play well but if the recording does not sound good then it does not do much good.
Anyway the group lessons work better because you only have the single lesson slot with multiple people. You can charge less and still make lots more. I have a friend doing it making around $100 and hour. Not bad for extra cash on the side. Sure would be nice to do that full time but thats not to realistic........yet.
Anyway Julia and I head to Florida this next week for vacation. We went out to look at engagement rings this past weekend. You would think well thats not really a surprise for her but she is glad I am including her in looking for something she likes.
