Coming Up for Air

Man I am exhausted. Been a busy week. Got alot accomplished. Mainly focused on GuitarPsycho and moving that forward. The last few days I have had a huge spike in traffic. Largely due to jumping into the John Petrucci Forums and Guitar War. Man I need content!!! It just takes time to develop quality stuff. I am planning on rolling out the next batch of things next week.

So this weekend is break time!!! Coming up for air. After time teaching I am headed to the Reds game with Julia and family. It's her dad's birthday so her brothers are in town to celebrate. Man its gonna be a cold day at the game. Just hope it is dry!

Darlington this weekend!! Gonna record it! I have Busch benched based on history. Martin and Earnhardt have better records there. Johnson.....well.....he is never going to be benched. I did not bench him last year either!!

My entry in Guitar War is being challenged. It's pretty cool. I am getting beat by two point right now. I was trailing by 8 earlier today though and there is still about 26 hours or so left in the war. It's pretty fun. I am learning a lot and the people at GuitarWar are pretty cool.

I am outta here. Gonna cheeeeeeeilllllll,

This is absolutely cool! I have never seen a guitar site like this! Killer Flash Work and creative concept!

Guitar Shred Show

Go check it out and in the lessons when it says play your keyboard (A-Z etc. or 1-9) make sure you have your speakers on.

I got a kick outta this one. Rex you gotta see this.

I opened up a log to track my progress on a goal to develop picking speed at:

Guitar Psycho Shred Log

It has been going pretty well so far, running ahead of schedule. That is expected though starting out. I know. First you progress fast. Then comes the speed bump. That's where it counts most. It is a nice reminder to have the goals in writing and made public. Its like a built in kick in the pants! I am learning some cool things already even though I have not made the final goal yet. Just getting started but very cool.

One thing I have always wondered watching these players who have attained what I am going after is the intermediate steps they took to get to their goal. In interviews and videos they highlight the main points but that has always left the intermediate steps......well.....out!

I have decided to video tape my revelations/realizations as I go. I know there are a lot of other players out there that can use the intermediate encouragement so eventually when I reach my goal I can share the steps. There are just so many little tricks already I have found to practice through the tough spots effectively that I have never seen covered in any instructional materials. That is what is missing out in the web of information, that is one place I can make the difference.

Hey I was checking out some Satch pics and he had this one with the chickens.

Rex, make sure you still have yours. He may have stolen it!

Misc. schtuff!!!!!

The weekend flew by. Julia and I met Jason and Steph up at Brazenhead in Mason. Nice Place! Teaching went well.

Today I got to work on just getting a back drop and some lighting for the GuitarPsycho.com videos for the improv labs. I got a little frustrated with the quality of the shots but they are acceptable and the sound is fine. It's enough to get the point across and keep people coming back which is fine until there is some cash flow. More on how that is happening another time.

Well. Kurt Busch did not do as well as I'd hoped but I still won my race for the league. Thanks to Dale Jr. on that one.

Vaughan found me another Saturn. A nicer and bigger one!! The one I have had has been nice but a tight fit. This other will give me some breathing room and the mileage is getting up there (243,000) so I am gonna make a switch. Well gotta go get some grub.
