Ken Wenglewski

Last night for whatever reason I thought of a friend I met back at A.I.M. in 1989. Of all the people I would sit next to in Bill Hart's class on my first day, a newbie in Atlanta, alone in my early 20's for the first time, God set me up with a friend named Ken who so happened to be a strong Christian. How cool is that? All the sudden it was going to be OK in that strange new place, I was no longer alone.

Ken and I ended up becoming good friends. Shared a lot of time together and enjoyed diving in deep and studying guitar under some awesome players. That was 1989.

I talked with Ken around 1995 and then last night I dropped his name in Google next to "guitar" and found his email address.

Just got off the phone after 2 hours talking and catching up. Very cool to be in touch again. Cool how you can have a friend that you have not seen in forever and you are still very close at the touch of a few keys on the phone. He has a myspace account right now but will soon be launching his own site and music. I like it. Pretty nice.

Well its 2:30am and I am no longer hitting work at 3pm so I'd better get some sleep.

Feeling a bit better today. I was able to get an appt. next week to see a specialist for the apnea.

Things have become somewhat a mess around the pad, mainly from doing so many things at once. So I am taking this week to reorganize and also finish my move that happened in Feb..... : )

I pulled an old rack out that I have not used since the pre Savage days to record with. Got the idea from Master Tang. If you want to know who that is check out GuitarPsycho Guitar War Favorites. Anyway the distortion sound on this thing is drop dead heavy. Love it. The ole studio is shaping up. I am now shooting vids in here and doing the music stuff for the site.

They moved me to 12-9 shifts at work which albeit not what I want, its better. Lastest is that I am 1st shift on 7/1. Hopefully no one changes their mind. I have had enough of the off shift.

I am glad I have stuck it out at Convergys. I think the time invested is paying off for me and I am beginning to see that the next year or two for me is going to be huge. I think some major moves are going to be made in my career there for the better. We'll see.

Chest Pain

Hey all,
For those that pray I would appreciate it. My sleep apnea is getting really bad again. I have been better for a while but.......

I am working to get surgery because CPAP has not worked well for me, I can't breathe when I use it. Not sure how quickly I can get it. I am feeling pretty bad like my heart could explode anytime from exhaustion throughout the day.

Don't mean to sound scary but I feel its better to tell the truth and have help than to hide it and pay.

I will keep you posted. Tomorrow I will be calling my Dr. to let them know that they really need to let me in. They tell me they are booked. I may just go elsewhere.

First entry won

Well it turned out my entry won the Guitar War. As I mentioned there were some differeing views on whether the jazzy stuff would win against the rock stuff in future competiions. I guess we will see. I have a heavy song boiling anyway because I like to play that as well. Just not as good at it I think. This site I think is going to be a great place to learn and improve.
